School Trips in The Local Community

At Nottage we are very fortunate to be located in a community with such fantastic natural resources. We try to utilise the seafront and beaches, community assets such as the Grand Theatre and Porthcawl Library etc. as often as possible.

Local Visits

We actively encourage all year groups to include offsite visits if the teachers believe it will enrich their topic. The pupils of Nottage have visit a vast range of locations these include but are not limited to:

  • Caerleon Roman Baths
  • National Botanical Gardens
  • Celtic Village
  • St Fagan
  • Techniquest
  • MOD St Athan
  • Swansea University
  • Cardiff/Swansea Museums

Residential Visits

We wholeheartedly believe in providing a wide range of opportunities for our pupils. We currently offer two residential trips for Year 5 & 6. The first is an overnight Cultural trip to London, where the pupils experience a West End Show, Cream Tea in a prestigious London Hotel, visitor attractions such as HMS Belfast and the Tower of London. The second is an outdoor adventure week at a selected Outdoor Adventure Centre in the UK.

In addition to this we are very excited to be offering a short Outdoor Adventure residential for our Year 4 pupils.
